Great sound in a small package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a high quality soundbar to complement my new big screen. The reviews made for a surprisingly easy choice — the Samsung Q990 series. While big for a soundbar, this system has amazing sound for its overall small footprint. I have a 7.1 system in another room with Denon AV receiver and large subwoofer. I actually prefer the sound from my Samsung Q990 than the 7.1 AVR system in the other room. When the receiver in the other room breaks someday, I'll be replacing it with a Samsung soundbar. It's that good.

Love the Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best set of speakers I have ever owned. I did by stands for the rear speakers. But the surround sound is fantastic and the system was easy to set up. My only wish is that here was a better remote system. I use the app but wish there was a more comprehensive remote. Other than that, the system is wonderful and have nothing to but good things to say.

The sound quality is where this system really shines. The combination of the main bar, subwoofer, and rear speakers creates a full, immersive soundstage with crisp dialogue, detailed highs, and deep, punchy bass. Dolby Atmos performance is fantastic — height effects feel believable, and surround separation is extremely clear, making action scenes and atmospheric soundtracks come alive.
What impressed me most is how balanced everything is. Even at lower volumes, the Q990F maintains clarity and richness, and when you turn it up, it fills the room without distortion. The adaptive sound mode is also surprisingly smart, automatically optimizing audio depending on what’s playing.
Setup is simple, and the wireless connectivity for the subwoofer and rears works flawlessly. The unit also has plenty of features: HDMI eARC, 4K passthrough, great app controls, and smooth integration with Samsung TVs. It feels like Samsung designed it to be as user-friendly as possible.
