[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing my new Soundbar I could tell this was a quality product. The sleek compact design I appreciate. I was worried setting up my new system would take a while but boy was I wrong. Paired with my 75" Samsung TV installation couldn't have been easier. Simply plug in each of the components and connect to tv using the included hdmi cable. The wireless rear speakers and Subwoofer paired instantly and that was it. I question whether or not I needed to upgrade from my previous Soundbar. I'm so glad I did. The sound is amazing. I didn't know what i was missing. I highly recommend the Samsung Q-Series Soundbar HW-Q990F 11.1.4 ch l Subwoofer + Rear Speaker

Incredible Atmos Surround Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up the Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar with the subwoofer and rear speakers to upgrade our movie setup, and it’s honestly been amazing. Right out of the box, setup was surprisingly easy—everything synced wirelessly in just a few minutes using the SmartThings app.
The first thing we watched was the race scene from Ready Player One, and it seriously blew us away. The Dolby Atmos surround effect was incredible; it felt like the action was happening all around the room. Dialogue is crystal clear, and everything just sounds crisp and detailed, whether it’s movies, TV shows, or even gaming.
My one small gripe is that the soundbar itself is pretty big—way bigger than I was expecting—so make sure you’ve got the space for it. And while the subwoofer sounds good, the bass isn’t quite as punchy or powerful as some other systems I’ve had, even when I crank up the settings.
But honestly, the overall sound quality more than makes up for that. The rear speakers and upward-firing drivers really fill out the room and make it feel like a genuine home theater setup. It’s easily the most immersive audio experience I’ve had at home.
If you’re thinking about stepping up your audio game, especially for movies or gaming, this setup is totally worth it. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the incredible Atmos surround sound and clarity definitely justify it. I can’t imagine watching movies without it now.

Big Sound in a Beautiful Package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't my first Samsung Dolby Atmos soundbar, but this is by far the best one yet. At first glance, they significantly change the aesthetic. They ditched the cloth cover in favor of a metallic shell, with a very pleasing grid pattern along the length of it. The subwoofer now has two drivers instead of one, and it absolutely pounds the bassline of my favorite Sleep Token songs. If you have a newer Samsung TV, the Q-Symphony feature is something you have to witness to understand. It allows your TV speakers to be incorporated as additional channels, creating an even deeper atmosphere for movies and shows. I absolutely love the improvements Samsung made this year to their flagship soundbar.

With my compatible Samsung TV, Q-Symphony kicked in instantly, combining the TV and soundbar audio for a fuller, more immersive experience. It's not flawless, but it absolutely enhances the soundstage and adds to the cinematic feel.
Let’s talk sound quality — it’s genuinely mindblowing. Rich, layered audio fills the room, and the 11.1.4 channel setup delivers immersive surround sound from all angles, including overhead. Whether it’s subtle ambient effects or explosive action, the detail and precision are stunning. The wireless sub hits deep without distortion, and the rear speakers bring true 3D immersion.
Dolby Atmos content shines on this system — you can literally feel the sound moving around you. Watching movies has become a whole new experience. Immersive Surround Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-Q990F sound bar is hands down the best sound bar I’ve ever owned. The sound is incredible, and it honestly feels like I’m sitting in a movie theater. The surround sound is super immersive, and I’m hearing details in shows and movies I never noticed before. Sound travels around the room as if I am in the middle of the show.
The subwoofer is seriously powerful. Sometimes I think someone’s knocking at the door because the bass hits so hard. And the rear speakers are crystal clear. The highs and mids are perfection. They add so much depth and nuance to the sound.
The setup was remarkable. From unboxing to watching TV took about 5 minutes. Plug and play at its finest. I love that it works seamlessly with my Samsung TV, and it even auto-calibrates to the room, so I didn’t have to mess with any settings. Plus, it connects easily with my phone so that I can stream music, which makes it super convenient. It’s a full party in my living room while the music is playing. I was able to easily connect it with my SmartThings app, which gave me the ability to easily tune the sound bar to my room.
If you're thinking about upgrading your home audio, I can't recommend this enough. It’s not just louder, it’s better in every way.

Little difference since the q990B

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been testing the new Samsung HW-Q990F, and while it still delivers amazing immersive sound with its 11.1.4 setup, I honestly don’t think it’s a big leap from the Q990B. The soundstage is wide, Atmos effects are strong, and the new subwoofer design is sleeker—but in day-to-day use, the difference feels minor. It’s great for movies and gaming with its HDMI 2.1 support and 4K/120 passthrough, but if you already have the Q990B or Q990C, it’s probably not worth upgrading unless you really care about small refinements.

A very nice soundbar setup

When I got a new TV, I decided to upgrade the soundbar. My equipment was first generation Dolby Atmos/DTS. At the time, and for many years, it was amazing compared to TV speakers and the speaker setup I had before. The wireless speaker connections were not the best, but the sound was great. This new generation builds on what I have found Samsung to do with its stuff, refine it. The newest soundbar is cleaner, more visually appealing, and audibly superior. The software adds a ton of interesting features. I will say it is a huge advancement over my older generation. The pass through with a game system attached to the bar can glitch out once and awhile which can be mildly annoying at times. The wireless connection to the TV is ok, but I would recommend just using the HDMI cable. The QSYMPHONY works great for larger areas. I found it a worthwhile upgrade.
