As of 4/25/25 rokus new update forces everyone to have solely a roku "microphone remote" if you do not have one you are now forced to buy one and your regular non roku universal remote will no longer work. I called customer service as valued customer of over 10 years bought rokus for Christmas and talked people into buying them over firestick they refuse to do anything. So they're now going into the trash can and I will be supporting firestick and boycotting roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cant watch any LIVE local channels. I cut the cable for Roku .. but what was the point?

ROKU SUCKS!

I rarely write reviews but this NEEDS TO BE SAID!!! I am on mt 3rd Roku and all I can say is FIND ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE!!!!!! This machine sucks & is a frustration beyond measure! It almost NEVER works as advertised and is NOT worth the hassle just pay for cable. Total scam to take your money for nothing!

Very unhappy with the system. My supplier is WOW thru Youtube. It takes too long to sign on EVERY day on EVERY TV (I have four Sony TV's). When I sign on to one TV I always get on app that requires me to reset with code and password. Ive done it so many times that I'm very frustrated with the whole system. If I had another supplier I would look into it but I'm locked into WOW. Iv contacted your techs several times no solution. Since I've WiFi why cant I reset on one TV and have it update all the others?

I can't pause , rewind or fast forward. I am not a fan of it at all. Instructions are very minimal & I can't find answers to the problem.

I have a Roku TV and subscribe to the Roku channel and yet do not receive Fox Sports. I have a Roku antenna on my LG TV and receive everything. Am canceling my subscription and going to replace my Roku TV.
