I do not have a smart TV nor cable. Having the Roku Streaming Stick Plus allows me to stream any subscriptions along with free apps

We needed to set up an old, non-smart TV (1080p) in a spare bedroom.
I had a Roku I bought - 2 years ago - and never used at another house.
I plugged it in, and it updated for a while.
Worked perfectly! Going through 2 walls and across 20 feet of air.
It took a while to explore all the choices, and download apps for the streaming services we use. It is MUCH easier to choose the apps on a separate computer; than to use the remote.
The great surprise was the TV channels. We don't have a Cable TV connection in that room.

I’ve been using Rokus for years, on all of my TVs, I like having the same user interface across all TVs, and the convenience of centralized billing.
