I bought this because I ditched the Dish and got a streaming service. Since I had to return the remote and couldn't find the TV remote I bought this because it has the on/off button and volume control. It works near perfectly. For some reason when I turn it on and the TV comes on if I don't push another button soon I get a screen saying it can't find a connection to anything. Other than that, it's great. Syncing it to the TV was a breeze as was downloading apps that I wanted.

We bought our first Roku stick when we were finally able to get internet fast enough for streaming. One of our TVs needed to have a stick to smarten it up and it worked beautifully. After a month or so, we decided to get another for our already smart tv . We appreciated the ease of use and all the free programing that it offers. We are over 70 and really don't like change, but this was certainly worth it. We may even get another stick for another set we use occasionally.

I'm not tech savvy so I can only comment on my experience. So far, problem free and that's what I seek.

Hello LaCona, thanks for sharing and this sounds a bit unusual. It's important to note that all Roku devices should have a stable internet connection to avoid a playback issue. You can check the connection by going to Home > Network > Check Network Connection. Additionally, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. You can also try moving your router and Roku device to a higher location in the room. Also, make sure that your TV is not blocking the wireless signal to the Roku device. Visit this page for more tips on fixing playback issues https://support.roku.com/article/208755548.
If your TV is turning off, it may be because the auto-power savings feature is enabled. To learn more or disable it, visit our article here: https://support.roku.com/article/6306527767575.

Hi there, thanks for letting us know about the issues you're experiencing. It seems like your Roku device might not be getting enough power. To fix this, we suggest plugging your Roku into a separate power outlet instead of using a USB port on your TV. Additionally, many modern TVs have a built-in sleep timer feature. If your TV is turning off and on around the same time each day, you should check your TV's scheduling settings to make sure this feature is turned off. In addition, it may help to try temporarily turning off Power Savings mode. To do so, please follow these steps: Go to Settings/System/Power/Auto Power Savings. Uncheck “After 20 minutes of no interaction”. We hope this is helpful. After performing this step, please let us know at https://support.roku.com/contactus so that we can assess this matter thoroughly.
We appreciate your feedback. Happy Streaming! Roku Customer Advocate
