We have been wanting to upgrade for a while now and so glad we did,We can still continue with our favorite shows and watch new ones very easy to install and understand instructions.Highly recommend anything Roku flawless service.

Best streaming device hands down.

Roku has given me and my family all upsides with no downsides. Smooth streaming and no choppiness or drop outs. This is the second unit that I have gotten and the first one is still working. Have been a loyal Roku fanatic since 2013. I have even purchased a Roku Express from my friend of 35 years who uses it on a daily basis as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible Features

I don’t like that there’s no power button or volume button on the remote itself. And for the volume you can’t adjust how high or low it goes. It’s either on regular mode or night mode. You can’t turn the volume up or down
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been having issues for months. All they do is send me a new unit and of course it’s still failing. They don’t care and don’t want to help.

Not what it used to be

Just recently bought this. I have three other players in my house I'm various ages. All of them have a power button and volume buttons. But this player does not have a power button nor a volume button. It requires you to set your TV up to be able to control volumes using on screen buttons. However my TV doesn't allow for that. Especially since I don't have a remote control for the TV. So if you're buying this to use it as a remote control for the TV. Do not. Not sure who was the idiot who came up with this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

These lack TV controls (Power and Volume), so you must use your TV remote to control these functions. The current line of new Roku devices is limited to the HD Roku Express. Doesn’t have a power button

Hi Stephanie, thanks for reaching out! This Roku player comes with a Simple Remote that controls the Roku player only. To control your TV, you will still need to utilize your TV remote. If you're looking for an upgraded Voice Remote with TV power and volume functions, choose from the Express 4K+, Streaming Stick 4K, Streaming Stick 4K+, or Ultra.
