Unlit remote

The remote does not light up in the dark and the writing is faint so it’s easy to hit the wrong buttons in the dark. And once you do that, you have to start all over to fix it. Annoying. Also I had trouble connecting to some apps. In the end I had to do a hard restart (unplugging it) to get it to work. Annoying stuff.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The backlit remote control lets you operate your TV even in complete darkness. The remote is motion-sensitive, so the buttons light up when you pick it up. Received as an early Christmas present. I love it. So compact, I thought there was something missing. No there wasn't. Just plug it in and watch movies, news, weather. Really everything you want it, has it. I would recommend it.

Perfect for my cord cutting needs

I received this as a Christmas gift. It actually replaced an older Roku that still worked fine but did need to be changed out to keep up with technology... Very pleased with it so far. I liked it so much I bought my brother in law one for his birthday...now he has joined the ranks of being a cord cutter too!

Keep missing up.

On YouTube, if I don't use it. It losses it picture on YouTube. I have do a hard reset to get to work again. It seems it is not use everyday it misses up.

Hello, John. Thank you for sharing with us. Does this issue occur only on YouTube? If yes, Please try to uninstall and reinstall your Youtube app by doing this step. Press Home navigate your remote, go to your Youtube tile, and highlight the app. Then press the star * button and select Remove app. After removing the app. try to perform the system restart, Press Home> Setting>System>Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step>System restart. Then reinstall the Youtube app by Pressing Home>Search. Additionally, please make sure that your device has the latest Software version. You can refer to this FAQ article available at https://support.roku.com/article/208755668.
