Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had several refrigerators, and we entertain a lot of this is the only one that has been able to keep up with all the ice we need. Besides the ice maker we love all the shelves and drawers. Especially the small pull out shelf that has a wood trim. Easy to keep little things we use a lot in that drawer and aesthetically it looks very high end.

Good, room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is generally pretty great. Looks good, works well, much more reliable ice maker than our previous fridge. Crisper drawer access is so-so and the door seal isn’t beet week footed.

Get the extended warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While my new KitchenAid refrigerator is sleek in its appearance, with elegant interior lighting, its ice maker has already failed less than two months after taking delivery. A retiree, I am the only person in my household, so the icemaker is not being used extensively or abused by children. It stopped dropping ice in my glass and, upon closer inspection, I found a broken steel bolt in the machine. I am awaiting warranty service to repair it. I also note that the control panel for the water and ice feels cheap. When I go to make a selection, the entire panel moves. I do not know if this is normal, but it does not seem right to me. My previous French door, bottom freezer Sears Kenmore lasted for 15 years without requiring a single service call. Its ice maker never failed. I did not originally want a KitchenAid, having had a number of service calls on a KitchenAid dishwasher a few years ago. The new Whirlpool refrigerators were just too loud, however, so I was advised that I would have to get a KitchenAid to have a quieter refrigerator. It is much better than the Whirlpool on that account. Otherwise, however, I am deeply concerned about the longevity of this refrigerator when it is already requiring a service call after only 6 weeks. It is the most expensive refrigerator I have ever had, so I expected better than this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
