Worthless ice maker

Nice refrigerator, we had a KA for 20 years. Worked well, but it time for new. Bought this site unseen. Nice, pretty, unit. Doors work well. BUT, the now indoor ice maker is truly worthless. Any more it is just the two of us, and we have to buy a bag of ice a week. Yes, 2 people we we still have to buy a bag of ice 1x a week. Of the kids were still here…. We even had KA replace the ice maker a week after we bought it. Same thing. Worthless. Expensive but nice refrigerator, but worthless ice maker. It can’t keep up with just two people. Dumb, but we don’t have a choice except to buy a counter top ice maker.

Roomy but surprises

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is satisfactory, although it surprised us in several ways, which I wish had been made clear in the advertisements. The best part of it is that it seems to have a lot more space then the one it replaced. Here are some specific points.
a) Although the shelves are advertised as adjustable, they are not. You can remove them, but you cannot fine tune the spacing between the shelves, that is fixed. Because it feels so much more roomy, this has not been too much of a problem, but I expected something different.
b) The ice cubes are little - about half the size of ice cubes my prior fridge produced. I love the small ice cubes for many reasons, but it was a surprise.
c) the water coming out of the door is "room temperature". A small amount of it seems a bit chilled, but quickely it becomes room temperature. I am used to having chilled water coming from the fridge, I don't understand this weirdness.

Cheaply made for kitchen aid disappointed

Each of our drawers have broken. Ice machine has broken. I don’t think it’s keeps temps evenly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Kitchen Aid Frige Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Additional capacity in same fridge space is a true plus and the lighting is good. Wish the interior walls were white instead of gray. Would have rated as 5 stars but ice maker is slow- makes a tray of these small cubes in around 1.5 hours at 0-degree freezer temperature setting. Barely enough ice to keep up with the two of us- only my wife and myself.

Is great owners manual no not helpful

I tried for over an hour with chat and phone calls to figure out what the sabbath button on my refrigerator does. Nothing in the manual about buttons or screen use.
I finally googled it find an answer please review your owners manual for information on the use of the screen on the door. RIDICULOUS,!,

A really GREAT fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great all around fridge! It is really large and each of fridge and freezer is wide enough that it is easy to fit and find food. With a side-by-side like this everything is easily accessible without digging through a deep bin.
Each section has plenty of shelves and the fridge has 3 drawers at the bottom.
Temperature is held well and evenly across both sections. The ice is a good shape and makes plenty. Having the dispenser for ice and water in the freezer door is best for keeping good temperatures as well as leaving a lot of space for shelving in the fridge and freezer.
The lighting is bright and even throughout both fridge and freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My complaints are the shelves inside the refrigerator do not adjust. Secondly the ice dispenser needs to accommodate taller glasses. And it spews ice out on the floor if you don't hold your glass close to the top. Otherwise I love it.
