[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second whirlpool side by side. My has “bonded” to both refrigerators. We love this side by side model
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this side by side after a bad experience with a Samsung model and ice maker issues. I love the styling, color and modern look of my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, the adjustable door bins as well as the shelfs. I purchased Whirlpool brand because of the reliability ratings. The rest of my kitchen appliances are also all Whirlpool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the refrigerator is very nice but has three issues that affect its usability and score. There was not a display model for us to look at, so we bought it based on its features, capacity, and price and couldn’t have checked on these issues beforehand.
First, the switches on the water and ice dispensers are quite difficult to press and take a lot of pressure to activate. It sometimes feels like you might break the drinking glass because you have to press so hard to trigger them.
Second, we really miss not having a covered shelf in the top of the refrigerator door. This is much more useful than an open bin that you have to reach into from above when it is already at quite a high height.
Third, we only use cubed ice and the ice dispenser is really sloppy and throws ice chips out all over the place onto the dispenser door shelf and onto the floor. You must hold the glass as high as possible under the ice dispenser opening to reduce the spread of ice, but even doing this, some ice still escapes and makes a bit of a mess.
These are relatively minor issues, but they do impact the refrigerator’s daily use. We have mostly adjusted to these idiosyncrasies but would be completely happy with the appliance if they didn’t exist.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 24 hrs., only 3 trays of ice were harvested; 1st reaction was, is this another Whirlpool refrigerator that won't make ice as the 4 year old one, that we got rid of; no service repair facility could repair it. After 48 hrs. the storage container was full of ice. Temperature seems to be consistent. Disappointed that the freezer only had 1 drawer; advertisement photo was deceiving to me; the old refrigerator had 2 drawers. Doesn't look like there is an option to order another drawer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent and convenient storage. Refer will hold a large Domino's pizza box and the drawers are perfect for produce, cheese, snacks, anything at all! Location of ice maker in freezer gives plenty of space for food. I absolutely love this fridge!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a nice fridge/freezer but even with keeping the inconveniently placed air filters clear I find things in my fridge are randomly frozen. The freezer works good, pretty good space. Fridge space is decent but is poorly affected by the air flow vents. The water dispenser has an automatic fill which is nice but it doesnt measure correctly and you think in a day and age where everyone has a "Stanley " cup or similar that the cup area would be bigger to accommodate these cups.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock unlock on the temperature locks all on the screen. Quest hit the temperature by accident. The dual temperature doesn't seem to work as expected. The normal butter holder is no longer available on this model, strange? The air flow vents are easy to block.
