Spacious but loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new refrigerator looks great from the outside, is sleek, and very roomy and bright inside. It has much better lighting than our old Whirlpool and food is easier to find inside it. The freezer feels larger than our last side-by-side Whirlpool as well. However, it hums constantly and makes all kind of noises throughout the day. There's a bedroom near our kitchen and that room hears it the worst. So I'm not sure if they all do it, or if we got a dud. But if you are noise sensitive, this one is not for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color, and the size fits into the space between my wall and counters. But the freezer side is against a wall that extends further out than the refrigerator so it's hard to get into the freezer because of the water/ice maker being in the way. It's noisy when the water or ice making kicks on. I'd be happier if I could buy this model without the water/ice feature. There's plenty of room in the refrigerator but I miss having a specific place on the door with a cover that opens and closes for my butter dish. And I'd rather have one less crisper and more flexibility with moving the shelves around so I don't end up with wasted space. But I like the lighting/brightness inside the refrigerator. And I like the glass shelves. I was extremely happy to find a Whirlpool (high quality brand) in white in the size I needed. And if it lasts for 20 years like my old refrigerator I will be very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 2 months ago because it got a good rating from Consumer Reports, and I'm very happy with it. The outside dimensions are the same as our old fridge, but the interior capacity holds a lot more, in both the refrigerator and the freezer. I like the glass shelves because you can see the items above and below. The lighting in both the fridge and freezer is excellent. Highly recommend.

Roomy but noisy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have lots of room in this refrigerator. It was bought because we could get it in white, I don't like other styles of fridges and the ice maker doesn't take up any room in the freezer because it's in the door. This has lots of freezer shelves, too. But we don't like how the motor on this fridge is NOISY. It sounds like a car that's hard to start or a dying motor sometimes. The pitch of the noise when it runs goes up and down. One sound when we open the doors like the motor is kicking up, then another when we close the doors like the motor is winding down. Sounds like the ending of the song Time Warp from The Rocky Horror PIcture Show movie. This fridge is only dead quiet in the middle of the night after no one has opened it for hours. Thinking about calling for service because this can't be normal, right? If we had known how noisy this fridge is, we would not have bought it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our new refrigerator a week now and have been very pleased with the performance. Today, our freezer went from '0' to '-1' so we will wait and see what happens there. We've not made any manual adjustments to the controls since setup.
