Have not had it long enough to rate reliability.
Looks ok though I really don’t care for the ugly grey finish on the sides.
Does not do a good job of keeping fresh produce.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Temperature control in the refrigerator section is poor. We found items freezing and increased the set temperature to 40 degrees, but still find items verging on freezing. The vents are clear so that is not the problem. The design just does not provide consistent air flow, apparently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too many Problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer side has to be set at 0°F to work properly, but when it is, anything placed too close to the interior wall on the fridge side ends up freezing. The barrier between the freezer and fridge sections just isn’t sufficient, and having to keep all food and drinks pushed to the right side to avoid freezing is unreasonable.
The unit also makes a metallic vibrating noise whenever the compressor turns on. I have to physically adjust or slightly roll the refrigerator an inch or two in different directions to get the noise to stop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To ensure proper refrigerator temperature, check the following:
Temperature Controls: Controls are preset to the "mid-setting." Adjust them only if beverages are not cold enough. Wait 24 hours between adjustments and move the control to the next higher setting to make it colder, or the next lower setting to make it less cold.
Air Vents: Ensure adequate airflow by checking that nothing is blocking the vents between the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Do not place temperature-sensitive items in the airflow path, as they may freeze. For more information, see How to Check the Air Vents for Blockage- Ensuring Proper Air Flow.
Ice Maker: If your ice maker is in the refrigerator compartment and is not connected to a water supply line, ensure it is turned off via the display's "Settings" or "Tools/Set Up" menu. An active but unconnected ice maker can cause the fresh food section to become too cold.

Our 3rd Whirlpool refrigerator over 34 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loud noise on fan/compressor, ice maker cannot output ice cubes properly, some food in the freezer section gets frosty for no reason, racks on side door are too lose, and storage shelves are cheaply made which makes shelf open/close harder. Overall the refrigerator performs well and has plenty of storage space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have owned for 2+ months. All good til 7/20, when discovered that one of the function buttons (freezer) does not work. Used service portal to schedule warranty service for today (7/22; 2-6 pm). As of this writing, 6:12 pm; 7/22, still waiting.

Nice Refrigerator with Ample Inside Lighting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our new "side by side" fridge for about a month now ... What I like best about it is how nice and bright it is on the inside and all the shelves that allows us to find everything easily ... What I don't like is the ice dispenser freezes up on a daily basis ... So when we want to get some ice from the door dispenser, we open the freezer door, bang the ice container a few times, shut the door, and try to fill our glass with ice ... The dispenser is very finicky, sometimes we get the amount of ice we want, other times we have to push on the release lever multiple times ...Hopefully the repair person who is coming tomorrow can resolve the issue ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I am pleased with the purchase. I thought I wouldn't need the ice maker, but I tend to use it much more than I thought. I did buy an air filter, which comes in handy so there are no smells. I also bought a device for my crisper drawer to keep food longer. It is perfect for my household. For the most part, the only time I hear the refrigerator is when it is about ready to make ice. So far I am happy with the purchase and glad for the side by side, especially so I can find things in the freezer (vs. my last one that was a bottom loading freezer and hard to find things.) I bought a thermometer for the freezer and refrigerator and show that the temperatures for each are pretty much right on target with what the frig/freezer states. Thumbs up!
