Really Loud. Outdated. Annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An awful refrigerator. We had the same exact refrigerator previously. Lasted only 7 years, but at least it was quiet and did its job. This new version had the loudest and most annoying compressor that sounded like a house alarm going off. Whirlpool repairman (Diamond Service) noticed it immediately upon walking in our front door. He ordered a control panel, but when he came back to install the control panel a couple weeks later he said he was "told" to tell us that the sound was "normal operating noise." I am an owner of an HVAC company and know what normal is. This was over 50db and could be heard throughout the 3,500s.f. house. We were told there was nothing we could do, so we simply sent the unit back to the store and purchased another refrigerator which is quiet and hums along as expected. The only reason we purchased the Whirlpool was because it was one of the few that could fit our 69" high opening in counter depth. We had to purchase another (lower end) Whirlpool in standard depth/black, so I wasn't happy about the brand, but at least it works and I'm not fighting with some arbitrary manufacture opinion of what is "normal."

Directions for interior use in print!!!

I do not do well with computer direction Inwouldvlike directions for how to do shelves, deal with internal ice maker, printer directions for someone old as Inam to instal shelves as caring for my wonderful new refrigerator please send me directions for a computer illiterate z!! Now it just the two of us and we had to buy now. We contacted our tried and true local Greenville TV and Appliance. We are 83 yrs old now. They had the perfect Updated Whirlpool for our needs..good size, good icemaker, good lights, great delivery and installation and ..simple! No one tried to sell us anything that was not right for us. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the refrigerator but am having trouble with things freezing on the top shelf. Put the refrigerator temp to 41 degrees and the freezer temp is at 0 degrees. Any suggestions?
