Large capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator to replace one that quit (it wasn’t Whirlpool). We have used Whirlpool appliances for many years and highly recommend them to anyone. All the appliances in our kitchen are now Whirlpool because they last for years. This refrigerator is awesome and has double ice makers that make more ice than we can use. We love this because it has lots of room for our food.

Your Refrigerator Sucks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After only six weeks of use, the refrigerator began leaking water on a regular basis, several times per week. In addition, the freezer door became increasingly difficult to open due to a buildup of solid ice. As a result, we were forced to remove food items from the freezer and store them in our old refrigerator—the very appliance we had replaced with this more expensive Whirlpool model.
A repair request was submitted, and a service appointment was scheduled approximately three weeks ago. During the service visit, I was informed that a sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The replacement part was ordered at that time.
Three weeks later, I have now been told that it may be another two weeks before the part arrives. This means we could be dealing with a malfunctioning refrigerator for more than five weeks while waiting for a repair on a nearly new appliance.
I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator expecting reliability and quality. Instead, I have experienced repeated water leaks, ice buildup, inconvenience, and significant delays in obtaining warranty service. I am very disappointed with both the product and the repair process.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well designed refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this refrigerator as a replacement for a previously purchased refrigerator that we had continuing issues with. Unlike the first one, we are very pleased with this refrigerator. It is it laid out well, cools quickly and the ice dispenser works great, although it is a little bit noisy. It is great having the second large capacity ice maker below for parties annd filling a cooler. Overall we could not be more satisfied with this refrigerator. Others have noted that ice dispenser is loud when the water valve opens to fill the tray. I wish the water dispenser in the door dispensed more quickly but not a big issue
