Overall it is ok for now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the refrigerator performs adequately and meets basic cooling needs. However, one concern I have is that it tends to be noticeably louder than I expected, especially compared to my previous Whirlpool side-by-side model, which operated very quietly and lasted for more than 16 years without major issues.
The current unit produces intermittent humming and vibration noises that can be disruptive, particularly in an open-concept kitchen area. While the technicians have assured me that this level of noise is considered normal for newer models, it still feels excessive compared to the performance and durability of older appliances.
I was also informed by several technicians that many modern appliances are not built to last as long as those made years ago, with an average life expectancy of only about 5 to 6 years. This is quite disappointing given the cost and expectations for reliability. I hope manufacturers will consider improving long-term durability and noise control in future models.

New versus Old Whirlpool Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator replaced a similar Whirlpool refrigerator that was 23 years old. What's good are the following: inside lighting; filter location; 1 additional drawer in refrigerator. What's not as good are the following: outside water and ice dispenser push pads versus previous push arms; taste of filtered water; dark grey finish of stainless steel; frequent continuous running of the compressor.

Noisy but OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s noisier than our previous refrigerator, but it’s fine. We bought this one because it’s white on the three sides that show. I do wish it was the pebble finish like the old ones used to have since it shows puppy nose prints and fingerprints just like stainless, maybe even more. Home Depot’s delivery and install was great. We bought the extended warranty through them since refrigerators don’t last like the old ones. Our beer fridge is 30+ years old and still works great (wrong color). The counter depth looks great and space is well designed.

Miss my old side by side Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge is nice, Ice maler makes small cubs and when you dispense cubs it is offem messy, my old whirlpool was better for dispensing ice and water into the larger water bottles the new is hard to see whats happeing as i am filling the water.
