Overall it is ok for now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the refrigerator performs adequately and meets basic cooling needs. However, one concern I have is that it tends to be noticeably louder than I expected, especially compared to my previous Whirlpool side-by-side model, which operated very quietly and lasted for more than 16 years without major issues.
The current unit produces intermittent humming and vibration noises that can be disruptive, particularly in an open-concept kitchen area. While the technicians have assured me that this level of noise is considered normal for newer models, it still feels excessive compared to the performance and durability of older appliances.
I was also informed by several technicians that many modern appliances are not built to last as long as those made years ago, with an average life expectancy of only about 5 to 6 years. This is quite disappointing given the cost and expectations for reliability. I hope manufacturers will consider improving long-term durability and noise control in future models.

Too loud

I received this product October 3, 2025. The noise level of the compressor is AWFUL!!! I know it has to run and that sound is okay but it has a whistling, metal like sound that grinds along in the background of the sound of the compressor running. The customer service from Whirlpool is non-existent; website is horrible to use. The ice cubes do not fit into the mouth of my water bottle. It does not have the rotating water spout which I miss to fill large pans or extra tall glasses, thermoses, etc. It does not tell you how much water is being dispensed. You can only set out measurements of water at 8, 16 or 24 ounces, nothing between. I would like another shelf for the freezer and I can't find one easily on the website, I'm buying the shelf because I guess I'm stuck with this refrigerator for a few years so I should at least have that if I can't get anyone to resolve the compressor noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this refrigerator a few weeks and I love it. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel is so pretty. I love how the ice maker and water dispenser works. The counter depth is perfect for my kitchen. It is well designed and organized for all our needs. We carefully read the manual to make surely we take care of the appliance for long lasting efficiency.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice refrigerator but a little on the noisy side. Some of the plastic inside is very cheaply made for the drawers and side shelves. Door icemaker motor does not seem very strong and hopefully will last. I chose the color white, which Is not easy to get in refrigerators nowadays and blends well in my white kitchen. Overall happy with my purchase
