[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this side-by-side refrigerator about a month ago. I’m very happy with the space and organization in both the refrigerator and freezer. The water and ice dispenser work well. I especially like the pre-measured 8,16, and 24 ounce water settings. But The water dispense doesn’t fit a pitcher to fill. My old refrigerator did and I miss that. The thing really DISLIKE most is, ITS SOO LOUD. 90% of the time you can hear it running. I thought for sure there was something wrong with it, so I called whirlpool and gave them my make and model. They explained to me that this was normal for this refrigerator and many people have called about the same thing. I thought I would get used to it by now, but every time I walk into the kitchen, I can hear it running and it bothers me. I moved the refrigerator that I was replacing down to the garage and it’s plugged in. I’m always listening to see if I hear it running, but I don’t, Its so quiet. I think if I knew this about this whirlpool model in advance, I would’ve chosen a different refrigerator. :( now I guess I’m stuck with it. Other than the loudness I do like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had it for a week, but we have not had any problems and really like our new fridge. Love the extra space in the freezer since the ice maker is in the door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this over a month ago and, after an initial issue with the freezer door switch, it has been working well. The compressor's design is new compared to the old fridge and it takes some getting used to hearing it run more often, but it's quiet and maintains temperature very well.

Does not have adjustable shelves

Had the 325 model which is very fixed, so we moved to this model because Whirlpool advertised adjustable shelves, gallon door storage, and adjustable freezer shelves. The shelves have a single fixed adjustment, not adjustable shelves. It was clear this was to get a check mark on the feature list, while providing no value. The 5 gallon door storage units were 3 gallon shelves and they are rounded, making them less useful (the 325 has square edges). Not impressed at all with this unit and assume this is how whirlpool engineers now (our 10 year old whirlpool had fully adjustable shelves and the gallon shelves, were actually gallon shelves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this refrigerator. Size dimensions were exactly as specified and fit into our space perfectly. It is quite spacious. Love the drawer and shelf assemblies and options for placement. LED lighting truly brightens the interior when open to make it easier to find that gallon of milk that’s right in front of my face! LOL. Ice maker and water dispensers are great. Love the preset water dispenser of 8, 16 and 24 oz. All in all very happy with this refrigerator.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're genuinely sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your Whirlpool® Refrigerator ice dispenser. We're committed to providing the best support, and we'd love to discuss your experience further and see how we can help. For troubleshooting your refrigerator's ice and water dispenser, follow these steps: Ice Production and Dispensing Is the refrigerator making ice? If the dispenser gives water but not ice, check the ice maker. Ice Maker is Making Ice but Not Dumping: Reset the Ice Maker by unplugging the refrigerator for 1 minute. Wait a couple of hours and check for ice in the bin. Ice Maker is Not Making Ice: Refer to the "Not Making Ice" section in your Owner's Manual. Ice Blockages: Clumped Ice: If ice clumps (due to infrequent use or humidity), empty the bin and break up the ice with a plastic utensil, then discard the clumped ice. Clean the ice storage bin and delivery chute every 2 weeks. Do not use anything sharp. Clogged Chute: If particles build up and block the chute, clean the ice delivery chute and the bottom of the ice storage bin with a warm, damp cloth, and dry thoroughly. Incorrect Bin Installation: For external (in-door) ice systems, ensure the ice bin is fully snapped into place to prevent low or no ice production. (See Owner's Manual for instructions). Dispenser Controls Doors Closed: On some models, the doors must be closed to engage the dispenser. Control/Dispenser Lock: Check if the Control Lock or Dispenser Lock feature is activated. This deactivates the dispenser controls and pad, but does not affect power to the refrigerator, ice maker, or dispenser light. Paddle/Pad Engagement: Ensure the dispenser paddle or pad is fully engaged by firmly pressing a sturdy glass against it. How to Dispense Select water or ice on the display (depending on your model). Firmly press a sturdy glass against the dispenser paddle. Remove the glass to stop dispensing.
