Great Ice Maker, and fairly simple. Noisy compress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for two weeks. Is out standing and I love how much the bin holds and the size of the ice cubes. It also seems to fill very quickly. I like the freezer space in the refrigerator space. However, the compressor is quite loud compared to our last refrigerator. My husband made sure that it was perfectly level, and the noise was still there. Part of the noise was due to the back metal plate rattling. We stuck something in between it and the worst noise stopped. However, it is still quite noisy. I really am not sure if that is normal or not for a whirlpool. I am going to try to figure out if it is louder than it should be.It definitely is annoying, but we wanted a whirlpool because they have a better repair frequency. Maybe we will just have to put up with some noise, but I hope not!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy, great icemaker, runs quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this fridge for almost 2wks now, no issues. Having the ice maker built in to the door works well. We have not experience any ice clogging of the dispenser as with our older fridge which had the bin inside the freezer. The added shelf space also helps in the freezer side. Note that there is a built in LED light on the dispenser that will automatically come on when you press the water or ice lever, this is not noted anywhere in the description or manual, so this is nice to have. runs very quiet and is well lit inside. The ice maker also has a good motor on the ice bin to break up the ice and move it around. slightly noisy, but i kind of like hearing it do its thing and not having to wonder if Ice is stuck or something.
I would recommend this to a friend!
