One of the more poorly designed Blueair products. I have several air purifiers and always like it so I decided to make a purchase here for the humidifier. First, it’s a nicely designed aesthetically but the top section of the humidifier doesn’t fit well with the portion that holds the water. You have to spend 15 minutes to align it. Second, while the description doesn’t require distilled water, I noticed that unused water sitting in the machine turns yellow. This is quite concerning, I’d imagine to be high mineral content but it looks terrible. Now you wonder what you are breathing in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To help with a seamless assembly, make sure that the tabs on the wick filter are facing the water pump when installed and the indicators on the front of the unit are aligned. This should allow for an easy assembly of the top and bottom sections. The yellowing of water in the tank is influenced by environmental factors and water quality, often caused by minerals settling over time. While it may look concerning, it is harmless. To prevent this, we recommend regularly changing the water and using distilled or filtered water. Love this humidifier

Quiet, super efficient, easy to clean compared to other humidifiers this rules, I bought my first Blue air early December 2024 then bought a second one a week later. I live in the northeast, have always had humidifiers and it’s the first winter my hands have not cracked from dryness, what more do I need to say. Love this product!

Buggy system, bricked and won't work

Low water light remains on despite all troubleshooting steps, continues to happen every 3-4 water bucket changes. Awful product, will be asking for a refund.

To help get the humidifier drawing in water again after it's been filled, power the humidifier off and then back on. This will reset the pump and allow it to detect the newly added water. The base is poorly designed as it has two separate pieces that come together and as a result my humidifier had a manufacturing defect and leaked everywhere.

Ive had this for a few weeks now, maybe almost a month. I want to like it so bad but it's constantly messing up. First it wouldn't get humidity past 38% and with some help from support they finally told me how to reset it.
After doing so, it had rained and I had wet clothes hanging so there's no way to tell if it was really working itself bc regarless it was more humid than usual in my room.
Now, it constantly says its low water alert and sometimes will just not start or will say it starts but stay stuck at 23% with the low humidity while I JUST refilled it.
It's been really annoying and a super bummer being so expensive and waiting quite a while.

For the best performance, we recommend setting your preferred target humidity level and setting the humidifier to Auto mode. This allows the device to react to the changing humidity in your room and adjust to meet your target humidity. Not what I was hoping for

I was so excited to receive this humidifier! I own 4 Blue Air purifiers and was happy to see a humidifier by them. However, I’m not sure if my humidifier is defective or just not user friendly at all, but the top does not align with the base at all. The handle on the base appears to be getting in the way of a correct alignment.

To allow the top half of the humidifier to set into the water tank properly, we would recommend checking that the tabs on the wick filter cage assembly are at the bottom and facing the water pump assembly when installed. We would certainly expect it to work in a small bedroom as it is designed to be used in spaces up to 500 square feet. If your humidifier is set to Auto Mode, the target humidity level may have already been reached.
