Well this thing wouldn’t work out of the box. Filled it and wouldn’t recognize the water present. I started the pump as specified in the manual and it didn’t work to prime the pump, for over an hour, and many many tries. I emptied it, filed it, took the pump out and shook it. I finally slammed my fist into the touch screen multiple times, I didn’t care if it broke since I was getting so mad at yet another cheap appliance. Was about to return it. Then all of a sudden it started working lol. And it’s been fine ever since. Weird.

The buttons didn’t work. Once I plugged it in and turned it on, I couldn’t adjust the humidity because the buttons didn’t do anything. The power button didn’t turn it off. I had to unplug it to turn it off. I was able to return it easily and get a refund, so I was happy with that. Just wish the product had worked.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with your humidifier! It seems the problem was related to the low water indicator, which can stay on if the unit is filled without turning it off. Powering the humidifier off and then back on resets the pump and allows it to detect the newly added water. While we are glad to hear that your return experience was seamless, we apologize for not resolving this issue before you returned the device. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly, and we would be happy to help!

Unit stop working after 4 weeks of use
on December 26, 2024

I had high hopes for the Blueair Humidifier, but unfortunately, it completely failed to meet expectations. After just 4 weeks of use, the unit stopped working entirely. The primary issue is that it no longer pumps water over the filter, which renders the entire system ineffective.
For a product at this price point, I expected much better quality and durability. It’s extremely disappointing to have something fail so quickly after purchase, especially when it’s supposed to be a reliable household item. I followed all the recommended care and maintenance instructions, so there’s no reason for it to stop functioning so abruptly.

The sensor to determine if the tank is full doesn’t work properly, so the device always thinks it’s out of water.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with your humidifier! The low water indicator light staying on can happen when the unit is filled without turning it off. To help get the humidifier drawing in water again after it's been filled, power the humidifier off and then back on. This will reset the pump and allow it to detect the newly added water. If you continue to have any issues, please reach out to us directly, and we would be happy to help!

Faulty water level indicator - unit shuts off

Low/no water indicator will not clear despite having water -- so the unit will not operate. Purchased and started using the unit for home use in late October 2024. Loved using the unit until it stopped working properly because of the low/no water indicator. Over the past couple of weeks, despite following all recommended directions, the indicator does not clear/reset. All maintenance and operation done per Blueair instructions. Factory reset multiple times and still does not clear. Fan starts and then stops. Unit is useless as I cannot bypass the problem to run the fan. I highly recommended the Blueair Humidifier before, however, cannot do so anymore. Frustrated and very disappointed.

Like the mist free humidity and the various options along with the app. Humidity readings are questionable as they run a little high. I suppose because of the proximity to the fan and water. I take this into consideration when setting the desired humidity level. When sitting on the night stand works well for my dry throat. Also very quiet. I would recommend.
