We’ve had this refrigerator for two weeks and have problems since day one. For starters, one of the wheels was missing the bolt that connected it to the leveling mechanism, making it impossible to level. Luckily, I had a bolt that fit through the wheel and was able to reconnect the mechanism (which required lying on the floor while someone else tilted the fridge to the side to allow access to the wheel) Once that fiasco was resolved we were able to continue with the install and the initial setup process for the refrigerator. After following the instructions regarding the water and ice dispenser (dumping three gallons of water and three days worth of ice), we have had problems with ice dispensing from the door. The ice maker MAKES the ice just fine, but getting the ice requires opening the door and physically grabbing it by hand out of the bin. THE DOOR DISPENSER DOES NOT WORK. To get ice from the door requires removing the bin, manually turning the auger while simultaneously holding the metal arm in the “open” position, and reinstalling the bin. This process must be repeated multiple times per day (sometimes within minutes of just having performed the tedious task) otherwise ice WILL NOT DISPENSE from the door. Needless to say, this is not what we expected from a brand new refrigerator, especially a Maytag. We are extremely disappointed and regret the purchase. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Old Maytag was better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator replaced my 22 year old Maytag which was trouble free. The new one is OK, it keeps things cold and it's quiet. The new one has no covers on the top hinges, the dispensed water is not cold and it didn't even come with an egg basket, all of which came with my old one. My old one was the same basic model was better and cost a lot less. I'd rather have it back new.

The water at the door dispensor is not as cold as the Whirlpool I replaced. (The setting is as cold as it will go)
Otherwise, I am happy with it.

Attractive With Nice Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this side-by-side refrigerator/freezer to replace our old twenty-nine year old Maytag refrigerator! The new model is aesthetically pleasing; and the new extended chrome door handles are especially attractive. We are enjoying the ice and water dispensers which are accessible without opening the freezer door. Also, to have a choice between ice cubes and crushed ice is a nice feature. This appliance operates much more quietly than our previous model. The interior soda can rack is nice to have as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New refrigerator, big problems in the first 2 week

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was all excited to install this refrigerator in a cabin I am building. Had it installed by the store that I bought it from. Water dripped out the water, dripping down the face and onto the floor after filling up a cup. 3-4 drops at a time. Went up to work on my cabin the following week, the 6 pack of soda exploded, spilling soda all over. The installer set both the refrigerator and freezer on it's middle temperature settings. see pictures

No instructions for Changing a Maytag filter

I received the videos from Maytag but they very clearly show me how to change a filter in a Whirlpool fridge. The inside of my Maytag is completely different!! The unit is on the opposite side AND there is no little door to open to get in!!! Will you please, Maytag, send me the CORRECT instructions for my Maytag fridge!!!!
