I've had this refrigerator for a few weeks now, and it is nearly perfect. The volume is surprisingly roomy. However, unless I remove a shelf completely, I can't put a 1.5 L bottle of wine upright. Other than that, the space and features are excellent. I like the water dispenser inside the refrigerator. The stainless steel resists fingerprints. Ice Plus mode is easy to enable from the app on my phone. The temperature, the lighting, everything can be set and monitored on my phone. It is also very quiet. I didn't realize how loud my old refrigerator was until I got this one.

I bought the counter depth refrigerator in November. In the spring I tried to replace the air filter. The air filter from the factory was removed from the frame and shoved into the filter holder, breaking it. The factory air filter was square and the holder was rhombus shaped. I was sent a new filter holder, but it will not mount to the refrigerator. The filter feature is useless. My refrigerator has no filters available for it. How does something like this even happen with a major appliance company?

Air filter defect

Air filter problem!! The replacement filters are in square frames, yet the filter holder is rhombus shaped! The factory filter had no frame and was inserted on a slant. I bought this fridge in January and It is time to change the filter. There are no air filters on the market (even by LG!) that will fit the filter receptacle. Help, LG!

I am happy with my purchase, in general. I feel like the shelf configuration could be better. I’m extremely limited on space for taller items, but, it works fine, overall. I did have an issue with the unit not cooling; everything in my freezer thawing, and the fridge warming. I had to toss about a thousand dollars worth of food. The fridge lights were still on, which was a confusing thing- it was on, but not working. I had a very good experience with a phone call to customer service, and learned that because while having some electrical work done, a breaker had been shut off, then quickly turned on again, and that was enough to cause the motherboard to shut down, and need to be reset. I was able to reset it, and it began working fine. I think this is a problematic design flaw. If the fridge is not cooling, then the lights and everything should go off, and perhaps an easily accessible, specific reset button should be present. That way you can see that the unit is not cooling, long before you find your stuff thawing. It should also have a built in surge protector, so this DOESN’t happen, with so many power “flickers” that occurs in my area. But, I do like the look and sleek profile of the fridge, and this was the only issue I have had with it so far. As I said, the customer service person was very professional and helpful.
Very usable space inside and very well lit. I like that it is quiet most of the time. We did have a little time where the refrigerator wouldn’t go below 50F and found that a wrapper had fallen and was blocking a vent. Once the offending piece was removed, the refrigerator has worked flawlessly since.

Freezer always having issues.

Worst appliance I’ve ever purchased. The freezer has constant issues. I’ve maker was replaced at 16 months. Freezer door is regularly stuck.

We recently acquired an LG fridge, so far we are happy with the product. May have to write another review 2 years from now to see how it performs over time. Overall the fridge has great interior lighting that is also found into bottom freezer drawer. Definitely enough space with plenty of shelving throughout the unit.

So happy I bought this model. No more on door water/ice dispenser issues. Loads of room even though it’s the same size as my old refrigerator. Best use of available space. Love that the water and ice dispensers are on the inside. The flow of the dispenser is great, fills a 30 Oz glass in 15 seconds.
