Unsolicited AI pop up suspends HDMI input content

About a week ago I started seeing unwanted Samsung AI pop up messages while streaming using an HDMI connected Roku box. The screen goes black except for the pop up and the streaming content is suspended. I have seen other Reddit users report the same issue. I can find no settings option to disable this irritation. Today I've been forced to disable auto updates so no more junk is inserted behind my back.
Further, I occasionally see a pop up about some meaningless to me notifications about terms of service update. Again I see no way to disable.
I already don't like Tizen for its interface which is why I have a Roku box interfaced. If I knew Samsung would force garbage onto my screen I'd never have bought this TV.
FYI I spent 45 years developing complex computer software and designed a couple of circuit boards. I don't need my TV to try to be smarter than me!

Great tv for the price.

Great display, great with games, loud, and very slim. No complaints so far. Could be a little faster with swithing apps but I am satisfied. Very simple and easy to use. The remote is solar powered so no need for batteries. 4k display is really nice and registers game systems and items conmected quickly. Recommend tv being in eco mode and adjust other settings in advanced. Also recommend a surge protector if you have power outages. Never use for computer gaming, you will burn out screen faster.
I would recommend this to a friend!
