Nice, well-built machine, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Whirlpool machine to replace a GE washer that was less than a year old. The GE refused to spin water out of the load, both in the wash-spin and the spin-dry cycles, at least half the time. The Whirlpool washer is much better in this regard, and additionally has the provision to pause its operation to reposition the load, and then pick back up where it left off. We couldn't do that with the GE. So it's better, but still necessitates our intervention to successfully complete a load about one-in-four washings. But our primary complaint with the machine is its lack of documentation. Only a 'quick start guide' came with the unit, and the downloadable "User's Manual" is worthless; there is no guide for how to set-up the various washing options or what the user controls actually do. I suppose in this age of YouTube videos and use of cellphones to control everything, a comprehensive printed manual is considered an unnecessary expense by the manufacturer. But it's a small up-front, one-time effort that would be welcomed by users who still know how to read.

Whirlpool Washer is Super Nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the washer - easy to use and I can stop it at any point, unlike my prior washer. The deep fill option is very nice as I have an artesian well with ample water supply, snd like being able to have lots of water to get the clothes clean, especially if super dirty. The only feature I miss is my prior washer told me how much time was left as it went through it's cycle - a nice to have but something I can live without. The built in faucet will no doubt be handy to have and is easy to use.
For bulky items like sheets or blankets I do have to sometimes manually move things around to balance the load or it doesn't spin them dry because of being out of balanced, but easily fixed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is pretty loud when it’s running. There is no place to add detergent so be aware you’ll have to pour the detergent in before adding clothes or on top of your clothes. There is also no timer to show you how much longer a cycle will take. We bought this because of the size of our laundry room. If we weren’t limited by the sizing, we would have gone with something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have done a few loads of clothing and thought the washer did a good job. Then I washed a 3x4 floor rug 2 days ago. After the cycle was done the rug was still sopping with water so I put it on the "Drain & Spin" option expecting it to spin again removing more of the water. It began a whole rinse cycle adding more water before spinning. That was 2 days ago and the rug is still laying in the washer sopping wet and too heavy to put in the dryer. Is there a way to have it run just a spin cycle without adding the water?
