No Dispenser for softener
on September 2, 2026
Posted by: Robert Stallion 2026
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This particular washer only Has a cup for bleach it does not have a pull out dispenser for softener or liquid wash detergent. Everything needs to be added. If you’re using liquid about the only thing that would work bass would be a pod that has everything included.

Passable, but barely!

This is the worst washing machine I've ever had. While it can handle clothing and towels loads alright, it can't handle normal household heavy items like blankets and throw rugs and sometimes sheets without going out of balance when spinning out. I've never had a washing machine trip up so bad on trying to wash blankets and throw rugs. I don't put super heavy loads in it and I use the bulky load setring. But it will try to spin out, clunk and shake like mad, then stop and try to regroup multiple times. Then I have to carefully, oh so carefully try to redistribute items, remove some and try spin out only mode, after unplugging this machine for a bit. Useless! I've had to take regular everyday items to the Laundromat 20 minutes away which is very inconvenient and costly. I wish I had not bought this washing machine! It works passably and I can't afford to just get rid of it and replace it with a better model. But I truly dislike this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So disappointed in this washer!
on July 27, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I miss my 20yr old Kenmore more than I can even explain to you! This brand new Whirlpool is such a disappointment… not enough water fills the tank, I have to add more water (cold) only choice and wash time is not long enough and each wash option looks the same, delicate and heavy duty wash the same! I wish this machine spent as much time or even half washing as it does spinning that might help. I find that I have to pause the cycle half way to stick my hand in and agitate the clothes during the wash and rinse cycles! I feel like my clothes are not clean and they come out way more wrinkled when finished. I don’t know who decided this was a better way to do laundry, with less water and hardly any agitation but they are very wrong!! Oh. It spins like a champ! But are the clothes really clean and rinsed?? No! Not a time saver or economic, way more water is used and time spent and Because I add more water… which only fills cold I now have to wash in cold water, something I have never liked to do! Some times you need hot and a full tanks ! I advise everyone to fix their old washers, don’t buy new, you will be so disappointed… turns out some already knew this and hate their newer washers too!! Unless my old washer was returned fixed, I will remain unhappy and sad and angry about the $ spent!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're genuinely sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with water levels on your Whirlpool® Washer. We're committed to providing the best support, and we'd love to discuss your experience further and see how we can help. Please see the following for some troubleshooting tips:
Adjusting Modifiers: After selecting a cycle, the default modifiers are automatically set. You can manually adjust Soil Level, Spin Speed, and Temperature by touching the corresponding cycle settings buttons. If a setting is unavailable for the selected cycle, it will be skipped.
Water Level Selection (Some Models):
Auto Sensing: The machine automatically senses and adjusts the appropriate water level for the load size and type.
Deep Water Wash: Adds the maximum amount of water to the wash cycle, which may result in longer cycle times due to extended fill times.
Bulky Cycle: This cycle uses a series of fills while agitating and can take up to 10-12 minutes to completely fill as the sensors monitor the load. The agitation during the fill improves mechanical action and cleaning performance for bulky items (e.g., jackets, comforters).
Non-Agitator Models (Low-Water System):
The washer automatically adjusts the water level; no manual selector is needed.
For best performance, load items in loose heaps around the wash plate, leaving the center uncovered.
Important: Do not manually add more water, as this will cause clothes to float and reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning action.
Clean Washer Cycle: Run this cycle approximately once per month or every 30 cycles to re-calibrate the control and reset the washer to its factory-set water levels. affresh® is recommended for cleaning the appliance's internal components.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the washer. The only downfall is there is no softner dispenser and no sound signal when the cycle is complete.
