Easy to use because I require just normal cycles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Agitation. Sufficient Capacity: Perfect Cleaning: Satisfied Durability: Concerned about the quality of the components. Machine broke down after 3 months of use, requiring removal and installation of 2 different switches. Fabric: I do not use delicate fabrics.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer works well but is loud. I wish it had trays to add detergent and/or softener, but am otherwise happy with it.

Terrible machine
on July 10, 2026

We bought this washer in January. I have never owned a washing machine this frustrating. If you don't wash your normal size load on deep water cycle, it does not rinse properly, leaving soap residue on the clothes. I cannot wash a queen size set of sheets by themselves on any cycle without it going unbalanced and not draining or spinning. Also, as a smaller complaint, it does not have a finished cycle buzzer so you need to keep checking to see if load is done. I do not recommend this machine.

HORRIBLE WASHER
on July 5, 2026
Posted by: Diogenes100
This is junk. Don't get scammed. Watch "you tube videos". There is no vertical agitator in the washer. Only little nubs on the floor of the basket. They are not enough to pull clothing under the three inches of water that is poured into the washer before it starts to agitate. I have to add at least 4 or 5 large buckets of water to make sure the clothes are covered with water. This is even when I'm using the "deep water" selection. There is NO rinse cycle. The basket spins the clothes up against the side wall while the "faucet" sprinkles water on to the floor of the basket. Not even getting on the clothes. DON'T GET SCAMMED.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're genuinely sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with water levels on your Whirlpool® Washer. We're committed to providing the best support, and we'd love to discuss your experience further and see how we can help. Please see the following for some troubleshooting tips:
Adjusting Modifiers: After selecting a cycle, the default modifiers are automatically set. You can manually adjust Soil Level, Spin Speed, and Temperature by touching the corresponding cycle settings buttons. If a setting is unavailable for the selected cycle, it will be skipped.
Water Level Selection (Some Models):
Auto Sensing: The machine automatically senses and adjusts the appropriate water level for the load size and type.
Deep Water Wash: Adds the maximum amount of water to the wash cycle, which may result in longer cycle times due to extended fill times.
Bulky Cycle: This cycle uses a series of fills while agitating and can take up to 10-12 minutes to completely fill as the sensors monitor the load. The agitation during the fill improves mechanical action and cleaning performance for bulky items (e.g., jackets, comforters).
Non-Agitator Models (Low-Water System):
The washer automatically adjusts the water level; no manual selector is needed.
For best performance, load items in loose heaps around the wash plate, leaving the center uncovered.
Important: Do not manually add more water, as this will cause clothes to float and reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning action.
Clean Washer Cycle: Run this cycle approximately once per month or every 30 cycles to re-calibrate the control and reset the washer to its factory-set water levels. Affresh® is recommended for cleaning the appliance's internal components.

No problems and effective washing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer almost a year ago and am satisfied with the performance. Seems to wash clothes effectively. I do not understand how it works without a agitator but seems ok. Wish the setup had been more informative.

Worst Washer ever
on May 12, 2026

I bought this washer specifically because it is top load, to take full large loads, thought was a good reliable brand. Within 21 months needed repair, something about a faulty control board. Replaced, now at 2.5 years, (4-5 months later) its something about a faulty lid lock and no longer under warranty. RIDICULOUS, a washer that only lasts 2 years, and they would not allow me to purchase an extended warranty after the first repair. They said I had to purchase within 90 days of initial purchase.

Here's what worked for me
on May 3, 2026

from Lake Mary, FL
I read some of the 3 and 2-star reviews and many people don't like how little water comes into the tub. I was the same and so here is what worked for me: 1) run whites cycle; 2) select the Deep Water option. This allowed PLENTY of water into the tub and provided what I was looking for. Like many machines, products, electronics, whatever...there are a lot of options but one that works best. I would have given 5 stars but (like many other reviewers) I am disappointed with the lack of user documentation included with the unit.

New washer without fabric dispenser.
on April 28, 2026
Posted by: Walt.72
New washer model WTW5020SW impeller. It does not have a fabric softener dispenser. It does have an option to turn on Fabric Softener in the rinse cycle. During the wash cycle lid locks so you have to watch for the cycle to end and spin out wash water. Then you can PAUSE the washer to load softener, otherwise to goes on and finishes the wash. If you put the softener ball in the beginning of the wash the fabric softener was drained during the wash spin cycle. If you have an answer for this let me know.
