[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to fire up the Ooni Koda 2, dreaming of perfect backyard pizzas, but it turned into a bit of a chaotic learning curve—likely due to my lack of experience rather than the oven itself.
Temperature Control: The adjustable gas dial offers decent flame control, but an additional built-in temperature gauge or digital hub (sold separately) would help nail precise temperatures, especially for beginners.
Durability: Incredibly sturdy with a die-cast aluminum nose and powder-coated shell; it feels built to last and withstands outdoor conditions well. Cleaning: Effortless thanks to pyrolytic cleaning—high heat burns off residue, and the removable stone makes deep cleaning a breeze. Portability: At 35 lbs with folding legs, it’s portable, but lugging a propane tank along can be a hassle for on-the-go cooking. Cooking Performance: Practice is key. We struggled at first, but found success by preheating the oven to 950°F, turning off the flame to avoid burning, and reigniting for consistent heat. With time, it delivers crispy, Neapolitan-style pizzas in 60 seconds.

Fast and Effortless Pizzas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with the OONI oven. It cooks the pizzas very quickly and evenly. The setup was so simple and it’s easy to carry and clean. Temperature control is a bit tricky - definitely pay close attention because your pizza will cook FAST! A little crisped on our first try but so delicious. I’m really happy to have tried this product.

First impressions: so far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had the chance to fire up the Ooni Koda 2 yet, but I wanted to share my first impressions based on the unboxing experience—and so far, it’s off to a great start.
Right out of the box, the Koda 2 makes a solid first impression. The packaging was secure and thoughtfully arranged, with all components neatly packed and well-protected. Nothing was damaged in transit, and everything I expected was included: the oven itself, the stone baking board, gas hose and regulator, and a quick start guide that seems pretty straightforward and user-friendly.
The build quality is impressive—sleek design, sturdy materials, and a surprisingly lightweight feel for something that looks and feels this robust. It definitely has that premium, outdoor-cooking vibe I was hoping for. The design is also intuitive, and setting it up was quick and easy—just a few simple steps and it was ready to go.
So far, I’m really pleased. The real test will come when I fire it up and start slinging some pizzas, but at this stage, the Koda 2 is already living up to the hype. Can’t wait to test its performance and share a full review once I get cooking.

It is my first oven and it is amazing. The i ly thing i would say is that it takes longer then 20 mins to heat up properly. But once you get going you can start firing the pizzas out.
