Wayward clock on 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

This coffeemaker was purchased to replace a 12 cup model that failed after many years of faithful service. First off, it makes great coffee, is easy to fill and I like the sight glass that shows the water level. And I like the "bold" setting feature. Did I say it makes good coffee?
That said, there is one glaring fault, at least with the one I received. The clock gains at least one hour per day, which makes programing a brew start time totally impossible (I never used the programing feature of the 12 cup, so likely would never use it on this one). The second feature that irks me is the way the carafe lid snaps on to the carafe. Unless it aligned absolutely perfect it does not snap in place (this was a similar complaint with the 12 cup).
I would have given it four stars if the clock kept accurate time, but alas. It seems strange, at lease to me, that with today's microchips a simple clock circuit cannot maintain perfect time.

IIt is the best pot I have ever had. We love our coffee hot and strong and this pot delivers. Plus it stays one for 1 to 4 hours instead of only 2.

Love this coffee pot. Some great features. Very easy to use. The auto on feature has our coffee ready when we get up. You can also adjust the hot plate temperature either low, medium or high. For those that love stronger coffee, there’s also a bold coffee setting. The clean feature will let you know when the pot needs to be cleaned. That’s done by adding vinegar and pressing the clean button.
