I would rate 5 for the coffee; but 1 for the product, so I went in the middle with 3. We have used this coffeemaker since it came out. We make 1-2 pots per day. Originally, they lasted several years. However, in the last 12 months, we have had 3 coffeemakers. They don’t seem to be made like in previous years. They make great coffee, very convenient, but not trustworthy. We clean it when it tells us to but the pump seems to be the problem. We have set it to start in the morning and woke up to water on the cabinet and floor. Thank goodness for the new 3 year warranty; it used to be 1 year. We contact the manufacturer, fill out the data, cut the cord, and eventually get a new replacement coffeemaker. We have tried other brands in the past, but this one really makes good coffee and has several convenient options.

I've had several of these coffee makers. its well made and works correctly. The warming plate works well.
my biggest complaint however is the plastic ring that the handle is attached too, holds water after you wash it. When you turn it right side up, all the water that's accumulated in the ring runs out everwhere. I've never had this happen before. It's a design flaw and is very annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one to replace the same make and model that stopped working and when I poured water in it it didn’t leak but a couple seconds after turning it on it leaked all over the counter and then started smoking, I unplugged it and put it outside because it made the house smell like burning plastic and I was worried it would start a fire. The warranty submission is a joke it wants you to upload a picture and for some reason it won’t let me

I have purchased many Cuisinart products in the past... but I have to say this coffeemaker is the worst I've ever had. It was slow brewing even brand new... 20 minutes to make a pot of coffee. It's loud, it spews so much steam it has actually caused some wallpaper to peel off behind where it sits. The carafe constantly drips no matter how slowly you pour. And the beeper at the end of the brew cycle is so loud it could wake the dead!

Pretty decent coffee pot. Very sleek amd stylish amd, of course, 14 cup capacity is a real plus for coffee feins such as myself. I have read complaints about it making a mess when pouring, but if you hold your wrist straigh amd pour slowly, it works great, go figure. Some squeal it leaks, haven't had that problem. I have read that it spills over when brewimg, but if you dont use a paper filter with the copper one as well as not overfill the grounds, there should be no problem. I guess at the end of the day, this pot.might be too smart for the average entitled individual amd a Mr. Coffee should be their ideal.

Over the years we have loved our Cuisinart coffee makers. However, the last one went out after 9 short months and when we replaced it with our new one, right out of the box it does now work as expected. When you pull the coffee pot out while it is brewing, the brewing does not stop and continues to pour coffee. I am tired of going without a coffee maker so have not shipped it back. They used to be top of the line and now I worry that is no longer the case.
