The lid on the carafe snaps on and off. There is not a hinge like other carafes I have owned. Wondering if it will eventually wear out and not click in place at some point???

Beautiful coffeemaker! Looks great on counter and goes best with all my other stainless steel accessories on my counter. It makes a tasty cup of coffee. I always use the 1-4 cup bold setting which I love! One feature I've never seen on a coffeemaker is the ability to adjust the plate temp. I have to have hot coffee because I'm a sipper. So being able to set temp to hi really nice. Keeps me from always reheating in microwave. The carafe is nice and heavy. I'm use to having a night lite in my kitchen. Since purchasing this coffeemaker I was able to put them in the drawer. This appliance puts off a beautiful blue light on the dashboard that I'm now using as a night lite. I just love this coffeemaker! Ok so now for one petty thing. When you empty the carafe it always wants to hold just a tiny bit in the rim. It's very hard to get out. Even when really shaking it just wants to hold that small bit in the rim. That's one feature that could use some tinkering. But like I said that's one small petty thing. All in all i really love this coffeemaker. In fact I feel this is the best kitchen purchase I've made in quite some time. I absolutely recommend this small appliance!

This a very good coffee brewing machine. I just do not enjoy the condensation that it creates on the counter below when in use. Otherwise I am satisfied and happy to have bought it. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good brew.

It works well, makes great coffee and the new carafe doesn’t leak when pouring water into the refill reservoir.
Cuisinart has a great 3 Yr (not 2, like most) warranty program. I had to use it and the coffee maker was replaced immediately.
