This is my 3rd cuisinart and its great. Last one lasted 3 years, a long time for us! The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is because when you raise the lid to empty the grounds water runs down the back. The bottom plate on our last one rusted because we hadnt caught on what it was doing. But still it WAS 3 years! Now we hold a dish towel there to catch the water. A nuisance. But worth the trouble for an otherwise top quality product. Better than the 3 keurigs we had that lasted only a year or less!

I was in need of a new coffee pot. When I saw this one it appealed to me - mainly because it was not all black. Yes, seriously, I have a white kitchen and it would stand out like a sore thumb. The silver with black is more sleek looking where I put it. I love the way it works as well. And Cuisinart has a good reputation.

My old Cuisinart died but the carafe never dripped. When I bought this new Cuisinart, the carafe drips coffee when I am pouring it into a cup. It also drips when I am pouring water into the tank. I can't use my old carafe because this new one uses a bigger carafe. I don't like having to clean up spilt coffee or water after every pour.

I went down the rabbit hole researching coffee makers and finally decided to go ahead and get this - I'm so glad I did! If you can afford it, it's worth it. Makes great coffee, is very easy to use and set up, and I love the timer feature and the permanent filter. Makes my mornings easier, keeps my coffee hot for hours, and I have no regrets other than wishing I'd bought it sooner.

The coffee maker works great. I gave this a four because the filter doesn't stay in place. It floats up, does go back in when you close the lid before brewing. I do enjoy the functionality.
