I returned the first coffeemaker we purchased because the unit made an arcing sound. The second unit we received from Cuisinart still makes a clicking sound, guess this is normal function. Not happy with the noise.

The best coffee maker I've ever owned. Looks great, works great. Others I have owned only worked well for a short time. It wasn't because I paid less and got less. The others don't stand up to this quality. The adjustable temperatures and easy programmability set this apart from any competitor.

The features I particularly like are the wide carafe mouth, which makes it easy to clean; the 1-4 cup setting, which makes good coffee even when the quantity is small; and the carafe heat setting, to keep the pot hot (in my case) while you're having your first cup.
