This coffeemaker is a replacement for one that was basically the same. I can't find a record of when the old one was purchased but it's safe to say it died of old age after years of faithful service morning and evening. Controls on new model are much the same but easier to read and to use. We don't really need its capacity of 14 cups; only with houseguest(s) do we make more than 6 at a time. But we haven't found anything that equals its quality and flexibility.

Great machine that makes great coffee. Easy to use, clean and program. Only problem: Durability. This is our third model in 5 years. Water leaks, chip failure, erratic shutoff. We will keep buying it but plan on replacing it every 1-2years.

14 cup-Hot coffee no leaks looks great ease of use this is my 3rd one, which I gave as a gift. One in my home & one at our beach condo! My first one I’ve had 6mths no problems.

Makes great coffee, easy to use and program; top comes off the carafe easily for cleaning without risk of breaking the top, stays plenty hot at the Low heating setting if you don't put cream/milk in; we use a paper filter in addition to the gold one provided, no issue with grounds overflowing over the top even when we fill it with coffee all the way to the top of the filter.

I love my 12 cup Cuisinart coffee maker. For our lake place, I thought I would love the 14 cup model even more. I do. And it makes great coffee. But the goldtone filter that comes with it is not big enough for 14 cups worth of coffee grounds!!!

This is a replacement for the exact same model, obviously we like the coffee maker. My only issue, but not enough not to buy a second time, is that the location for filling with cold water is a little awkward.
