As far as making a cup of coffee goes, this gets the job done. I would not say the coffee tastes better or different. It tastes like my normal coffee. I do wish the spout on the carafe was wider. I find myself always wiping up dribbles after I fill the maker up to brew. I like the options. The bold feature is one of my favorites. The done timer is loud. I think this maker was designed to be next to a Detroit auto assembly line since it is so obnoxiously loud. Luckily it has an option to turn it off. The carafe is tough to slide under the maker. It has a option to pull the pot to pour off a cup before the full pot has brewed. To do this the maker has a spring loaded button to stop the flow once the carafe has been removed. Sometimes it slides in with no issues. Most of the time I need to pop it in place.
Overall this is a decent coffee maker. It could be a great maker with some modifications.

I love this coffee pot. The only downside is that water condensates it the underside of the lid. So when you open the top, the water has pooled there and then drips on the counter.

Easy to program. Makes great coffee. Keeps coffee hot for hours without it tasting burned. Programmable so it can be set up the night before. The only negative is the markings on the carafe are not accurate. If I fill it to 14 on the carafe, it is not enough water to fill the tank on the machine to its 14 mark.

Pretty easy to use, a lot easier to clean than my old Cuisinart grinder/brewer, looks good, and about the same footprint. Only downside is that its difficult to pour the water into the brewer with spilling it, because the brewer flip-up lid is in the way of emptying the water from the pot.Still makes yummy coffee, plus larger capacity than my old unit.
