We bought this less than a year ago, and the 3rd one just broke. They have replaced it each time, but it is absurd. We are switching to a different brand now. Very disappointed in what Cuisinart has become.

We owned this coffee machine for decades and loved it. We purchased a new one and had to return due to malfunction. We exchanged for another only to have another problem. Very disappointed.

You cannot make 14 cups. If over 11 the grounds spill over & you’ll have it in your coffee. This is my 3rd coffee maker from Cuisinart. Took me too long to give in BUT I AM DONE.

The charcoal filter improves the flavor of the coffee, as our tap water doesn’t taste great. The special brewing button for making only 1-4 cups of coffee makes those few cups richer. The ability to set a short time for the burner plate is a great safety feature. I don’t want the heat on forever or for 2 hours; I set it for 11 minutes. But be careful: when you insert the carafe, it pushes up the filter basket a bit. If you don’t push the filter basket all the way down again, it will overflow with coffee and make a mess.

The Cuisinart 14 cup Programmable Coffeemaker replaced a Bunn Coffee Maker I had for 2 years. The Bunn never brewed correctly, would overflow from the basket because it fed the water to fast, and the coffee was never hot enough. The 14 cup is great coffee is hot, brewing is perfect. Anybody want a used Bunn!

I've always purchased this coffeemaker and it has served me well. Coffee is hot and ease of use is a breeze. However, I can only give the product 3 stars because of the lid. Despite securing the lid as tight as I can, coffee leaks out of the lid when pouring a cup of coffee. Usually, this starts happening after many months of use. With my new pot, it started immediately and is annoying. To be safe, I have to pour out a cup of coffee over a towel so that I don't spill coffee on the floor, counter or carpeting. PLEASE make an adjustment so that the lid does not leak.
