This replace my old Cuisinart - the one with the toggle switch. I believe it was the classic? Anyway, this one has improvements such as: pouring is much better with no spills; darker/heavier brewed; larger screen; when you open the lid after making coffee it doesn't run down the back;14 cups;brewed coffee comes down in a larger pattern vs old one centered spot.

I love the design, the stainless steel and quality of workmanship, the ability to wake up to a fresh brewed pot of coffee or to grab a cup while it’s brewing. It makes excellent coffee once you’ve established the right amount of coffee you need. I found that the little scoop per cup recommended was too much and adjusted. I’ve had s Bunn for years and like this better.

This is my third Cuisinart coffee maker spanning 20 plus years. They are well made and make more than a decent cup of coffee. This coffee maker is a lot easier to program than the older ones too. I highly recommend.

It makes good coffee but one cannot fill the water container to the full 14 cup capacity or the coffee grounds swell up and overflow during brewing process
