Terrible design for filling the water reservoir

Filling the water tank is super frustrating. The water reservoir is in the back and when you open the lid to fill, it gets in the way and make it difficult to tip the pot all the way over. I end up with water on the counter or it drips down onto the burner. I can't believe more people don't complain about this. Poor design.
Once the water is in, the coffee is great. No complaints on the machine, just the poor experience pouring water in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee maker is very highly reviewed by Consumer Reports, and it makes a very good cup of coffee. The only downside is that it takes a while to get used to the coffee maker. After a couple of disasters with coffee going all over the place, we learned to make sure that the carafe is seated on its pad and then the basket is pushed all the way down prior to pressing the start button. We added a label on the coffee maker to check these items.

Other coffee makers we have had do not last very long because we have hard water. While cleaning once a month other coffee makers just don’t have the quality as Cuisinart!
