This coffee maker makes excellent coffee and has a minimum of settings. We don't drink lattes and cappucinos or espresso so simpler is better. I like the 14-cup carafe. One minor complaint is the lid on the top of the coffee maker is slightly crooked, but it still closes (mostly) and is barely noticeable. One more major complaint is with the lid on the carafe. It can't be flipped up for adding water or cleaning. It must be snapped off. I'm hesitant to snap it off frequently due to the fact it is plastic and might eventually break. I usually just rinse it out but have to use a separate pitcher to fill with water to pour into the coffee maker.

This is my second Cuisinart coffeemaker, exact same model, the first one lasted for over 20 years. The only thing that happened to the old one is there was a small water leak occasionally, so I knew it was probably time to replace. Makes excellent coffee, very hot, unlike others!
