This is the second Cuisinart coffee brewer that I have purchased. The first one lasted nine years of continuous use sometimes three or four times a day. I always brewed a great cup of coffee and kept it hot as we like it. Never failed us until the very end when the heating element went belly up.

I love that it is 14 Cup with a hot plate. The one I've had before were 12 and although insulated, tended to cool down a bit too soon for my use. The bold settings are also a plus... I like my coffee strong but not bitter and the slow brew helps. Good product, great coffee.

Great brew. Love the display and ease of programming. Has a bold option as well as on/off chime for finished brewing. Not happy about how to pour water in nor that the last one only lasted 4 yrs before the hose burst spilling water everywhere. This we are hoping was remedied this purchase or it will be our last Cuisinart purchase, especially since I’ve seen this report about the hose numerous times.

Purchased a new 14cup to replace original 14cup that quit after a dozen years. Original 14cup never failed us; it was terrific and we could not imagine replacing it with something different. Apples-2-Apples... we already know how it works, yeah! However, the new carafe seems to be a different material than our original. With the original, once the 1st pot is empty, and time to make a 2nd pot, we only had be rinse the carafe and refill for clear water. With the new carafe, it appears to hold a tint of the coffee just poured... if you rinse and refill, the water looks dingy, as if we added new water on top of the dredge of the last pot. With the new carafe, we must scrub the carafe to cleanse the taint of coffee 'stuck' to the carafe in order to start the next pot with clear water. Thank goodness, we kept the old carafe and use it instead. If you 'ping' the old and new carafe, both sound the same, like made with the same material... but something seems different which has the coffee staining the carafe. The mechanics of the 14cup are terrific!
