I wanted a coffee maker that was a larger 14 cup type. I wanted something that had the basic features but not all of the extra bells and whistles other brands had at often higher prices. This met all of those needs and wants. It features a deep coffee basket/holder so there was no fear of grounds coming over the top when making a full pot at a stronger strength. I began having those issues with my old 12 cup maker. In addition, there is a switch to make your coffee bold, or regular. I like my coffee strong and use the Bold function every day. I have not used the programmer yet but the clock and controls look very easy to program. The maker also has a control for the heat of the element the pot sits on. I have mine on high but frankly after the initial cup I will often zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds to get it super hot like I like it. Finally, you can pour a cup of coffee while it’s brewing, but the maker makes a beep when the pot is completely brewed which I also enjoy. Very pleased with both the maker and the value of it given the price I paid.

I love it. I’ve had a 12 cup quisinart for maybe 10 years. Finally I replaced it. The caraf has been modified a bit to the positive. I’d always spill a bit when pouring on my old one. Not anymore. Love love love it.

Makes a good cup of coffee. My maker broke just after 2 1/2 years. Luckily the warrantee is for 3 years. I received a new maker within a week or two.
