I had high hopes for this coffee maker having owned a Cuisinart in the past. My hopes were quickly dashed! I brewed two batches. The first one using my usual ratio of grounds to water, the second adding more grounds. Both were weak and flavorless. Keep in mind I use freshly roasted Tanzanian Peaberry and grind just before brewing. I decided to run a brewing cycle with water only and used my meat thermometer to measure water temperature. It was no surprise to get readings of around 165 degrees which is not nearly hot enough to pull flavor from coffee grounds (you need 195 to 205). I promptly cleaned up the unit and returned it then bought a Bunn model HB 10 cup. I couldn’t be happier!! FYI - I’m not a coffee snob. I simply have tastebuds.

This is a great overall coffee maker for everyday use and produces a great tasting cup of coffee. I love the 1-4 cup and bold brewing settings, which is perfect for me as most of the time I am the only one drinking it. I haven't been disappointed with any of my Cuisinart product purchases.
