This is our third Cuisinart Coffeemaker. Our last one was about 10 years old and was as good at the end as it was when we bought it. It just quit on us. It was like losing an old friend. We replaced it with the exact same 14 cup model.

The 14 Cup Cuisinart Coffee maker is a wonderful machine. The 1-4 cup feature for smaller brews is an excellent feature. The "Bold" settingbis appreciated for those times a quick boost of flavor is needed to get your attention. Overall one of the best coffeemakers I have ever owned.

Pause-and-serve causing coffee grounds overflow

Something about the filter basket and lid doesn't seem to be aligning correctly. A small amount of the relatively moderate amount of ground coffee in a typical (Kroger) paper filter overflows the filter, ending up in the basket and carafe, apparently as a result of the lid's not pushing down on the filter basket "loop" hard enough to fully depress the "pause-and-pour" spring mechanism. I have had to resort to shoving a piece of dowel rod into the recess on the cover, as well as weighing the cover down, in order to get the mechanism to work properly.
In addition, since purchasing the unit less than a month ago, the "Clean" button has lit up twice...shouldn't this be every 90 days, or so?

Love the look of it,love the gunmetal grey, my husband complains that it takes a long time for the water to drip through. I said was probably because it is sprayed over the grounds. The coffee tastes great
