This coffee maker was an updated version of the one we had successfully used for over 10 years. I has the same options and programmable input as the old 12 cup maker. I purchased this Cuisinart due solely to the excellent experience we had with the previous one. So far, we know exactly how to make a good cup of coffee with whole beans we grind and brew.

The temperature of the coffee immediately after brewing leaves a little bit to be desired. It is not very hot. Although, the hot plate does warm the coffee after a while.
