This coffee machine has some nice features, but it is unbelievably loud when brewing the coffee. I know all coffee machines make noise during the brewing process, but it sounds like a jet is taking off from my kitchen when this thing brews. We have had previous Cuisnart coffee machines with the same issue several years ago. We were hoping that they fixed the issue, but unfortunately that is not the case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This coffee maker is beautiful and functions well. It’s easy to keep clean, the coffee truly is perfect temp, and the features are easy to use. I love this machine! I do wish cuisinart would make one almost identically with a 6 cup carafe. A smaller machine with all the beauty, style, and features Cuisinart offers on larger drip coffee makers.

Our previous (still working) coffee maker was also a Cuisinart so there was zero hesitation in purchasing another Cuisinart. This new version is in stainless, and it looks as good as it brews.
