This is our third Cuisinart coffee maker. Each of the previous two functioned perfectly (used at least twice per day) and lasted for many years. It’s the only coffee maker we would purchase.

Every function is easy to understand and the machine makes great coffee.
If I had to find something that needs improvement, I would suggest the carafe have a swivel lid instead of a snap in place.

Unfortunately, filling this coffee maker with water is so cumbersome that I regret buying it. The shape of the pot combined with the narrow water inlet requires very careful aim in order to avoid spilling water into the filter or onto your counter. If the lid on top of the machine opened up a bit wider (i.e a few more degrees past vertical) that would help, but as it stands the lid ends up getting in the way. Admittedly it's a First World problem, but given the cost of this machine I expected it would be better engineered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife and I are so much happier with our new Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker than our previous brand, which we had for many years and cost much more. Wish we had made the upgrade sooner. Coffee tastes great, stays hot for up to four hours and is so much easier to clean. We would expect to pay much more for a coffee maker of this quality.

My friend recommended this coffee maker years ago and that’s all I’ve used since. Love the features, caref temp, 2 or 4 hr shutting off alert, automatic turn on. It’s attractive and goes with my big appliances. I highly recommend!

We have always bought Cuisinart coffee makers & this latest model is made cheaply. Not much metal but mostly plastic. There are also plastic pieces on the bottom and the coffee make slightly tetters. Coffee is still a good cup of coffee.
