This Coffee Maker Has Met/Exceeded My Expectations

I bought this particular coffee maker for three reasons: (1) I was fed up with the poor quality of the one I was replacing; (2) I have other Cuisinart products that I'm happy with; and (3) of all the Cuisinart coffee makers I was interested in, this one got the most positive reviews, both in number of positive reviews overall and number of stars. And having said all the above, I can honestly state that this coffee maker has met and exceeded my expectations so far. Two features I particularly like are auto-off options (up to four hours) and the base plate/carafe heat options (low-medium-high). I tend to over-pour the cream into my coffee at times, so having this higher heat option to be sure my coffee remains hot even with a little too much cream in it is a definite plus! I hate drinking coffee that's turned lukewarm or cold from adding too much cream.

After brewing our daily coffee - sometimes several pots per day - with a Ninja brand unit, which also had a few features we NEVER used - it’s been great to return to a reliable and simple to use coffee maker. Our new Cuisinart is a straightforward coffee maker with all of the basics we need. The variable warmer plate temperature is a welcomed feature, and our coffee brews just like we like it with the “BOLD” setting. The 15 cup capacity came in extremely handy over the Christmas holidays, and - so far - we are very pleased with the brewing and reliability of our unit. I highly recommend this Cuisinart coffee maker if you’re wanting a great pot of coffee from an appliance company that has a longtime excellent reputation.

Good coffee that is easy to use. Could be designed a little better though. When you pull pot out during the brewing process coffee still drips. Also, the pot is designed in such a way that the last bit of liquid in the pot does not come out unless you completely turn over the pot. This adds a little mess when filling the water tank. Lastly, when you open the lid to clean the used coffee grounds water leaks down the exterior side of the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
