I have used Cuisinart coffeemakers for many years and find them to be long lasting and making tasty coffee. My only complaint was the frustrating spout design which made it impossible to pour a cup of coffee without spillage. My machine was still working but I was looking to replace it with a better design. I read about the newly designed spout on this model and decided to give it a try. I am pleased to report that this coffee pot works great and it is easy to pour. I hope it will have the same longevity as my older machines but for right now I am very happy with it.

I really like the coffee made in this. However, no matter how I try, there are always grounds that end up all over the top of the basket, the top of the maker, the top where the water filters through the well. I’m literally trying everyone possible to avoid this. It’s a HUGE mess. That’s the reason only 2 stars and unfortunately this particular coffee maker was 4 1/2 stars which was among the highest rated.

This unit makes very good coffee and does so in a fairly short time. It uses a cone #4 filter and some people don't like that but for me it works fine. The unit doesn't have a fail safe so if the pot lid is not aligned right with the filter basket, it can cause the hot water that was just brewed to stay backed up in the filter basket causing the coffee to be extra strong and grounds to get inside the basket and the basket holder, but this happens with virtually any unit with a single cup stop flow feature. Also, if you have to move the unit out from under a cabinet in order to fill the water and grounds basket, when you push it back under the cabinet to start the brew, some of the water will splash over into the overflow prevention feature and leak out onto the counter. It's usually a small amount and not a big deal. I researched Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit. It is the best lower cost unit tested and I'd agree. It is a very good unit that should be strongly considered.

Make a great cup of coffee! No burn taste after sitting on burner for a while like most do. Love the backlight on the clock and view window for water! Perfect coffee every time.

Bought this to replace 10 year old Cuisinart that finally died. Makes great coffee but it is difficult to pour the water into the reservoir, can't quite get all the water out of the carafe. You have to be careful how you pour the coffee, the spout allows coffee to run down the carafe and onto the table instead of going in the cup.
