Brews great coffee and beeps when it is ready. You can steal a cup before it is done brewing. I did have to get a new one once the hot plate no longer kept the coffee hot.

Adjustable carafe temperature, adjustable time to keep carafe warmer on after brewing (1-4 hours), ability to turn off they beeping when brewing is complete so as not to disturb others who are sleeping, and brews 14 cups. We use all of these features. Haven’t found another coffeemaker that has more than one or two of them. We love our Cuisinart brewer. When the last one went out after about 6 years, we bought another exactly like it. We haven’t found another coffeemaker that’s even close.

The last one I had worked great until it stopped dead one day. Luckily it was under warranty and was promptly replaced by Cuisinart. Shortly after I broke the carafe by (I guess) putting it down too hard on my stone countertop. Luckily I kept the old one. I suppose I wish the carafe were sturdier, but otherwise it makes a very decent pot of coffee.
