Extra step to open

This is my third of this model in the last 46 years. Each one has been a super addition to my kitchen. Love that my largest Pyrex fits inside. Excellent product. Hope I live long enough to get a 5th one!

Not as good as the GE unit I replaced

Door doesn’t open easily. Unit seems to generate a lot of fumes inside when I open door after using there is a lot of smoke or mist inside unit. I never experienced this with my other GE microwave
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great addition to our kitchen.

This microwave replaced a Whirlpool model that was original to our home. 1993 date of manufacture. Amazing what they're capable of now. And it matches our GE wall oven that it's installed above. We love it so far. And installation was a snap.

Of all its features and modes, we love the Reheat feature, which is designed for reheating previously cooked foods. To use it, place your covered food in the microwave, press Reheat, and then press Start. The oven will automatically adjust the time, and you’ll hear a beep when it finishes. If you open the door during the cycle, press Cancel/Off before starting again. After reheating, stir the food to even out the temperature.
