Not worth the price.

A decent microwave, but they decided to remove the useful mute button and replace it with an entirely useless WIFI button. Also the instruction manual does NOT match this model of microwave, so good luck figuring out how to work things using that.

Elegant, Quietly powerful

This understated elegant GE microwave is a perfect fit replacement for our 23 years old GE profile JE1860 1.5 cuft. This PCST22UU1WSS capacity is also 2.2 cuft an increase of 46%. The old trim set can be used as is. The wattage power is also noticeably more effective. The controls are well positioned giving it more inside space. Beautifully designed and manufactured. There's a WiFi function that we still need to find out what it does. 😄

DOES NOT fit the trim kit, just newer version. Ugh

I replaced my microwave with the same version but updated model since my model was no longer manufactured. Virtually identical microwave, but it DID NOT fit my existing GE trim kit. I placed my old broken microwave in the new box and threw it away so I'm not sure if i can return the new one that doesn't fit the trim kit. So unbelievably frustrated.

Unnecessary planned obsolescence

This is a replacement for a near identical microwave except. It is more cheaply made than the original. Configuration of bottom was changed so new base and trim unit was necessary. The only reason this was changed is to force people to buy an expensive base and trim unit. I see no need for it to have been changed otherwise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Inadequate interior lighting

Wish I would have noticed that the interior is dark gray and the interior light is inadequate. The first thing I used the microwave for was boiling a cup of water and I could not see inside to monitor the progress! I tried using a flashlight but it reflects off the door. This is a major design flaw. Also, I never use the WIFI feature on appliances and the WIFI button is a waste of space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A bit of a disappointment

Stainless steel ring does not fit around the microwave properly causing the door to open with difficulty. Microwave also tends to burn everything in the middle. Never had this happen before.

If you are using a trim kit with this model, that is the cause of the door not properly opening. In regard to the burning in the middle of foods, we recommend scheduling service to properly diagnose this, as this is not normal operation.
